Gasoline from E. Coli

E. Coli can be used to produce multiple different hydrocarbon molecules claims biotech firm LS9. If it's an efficient process that allows the bacteria to feed on organic material to produce gasoline and other useful hydrocarbons, then this could be a preferable solution to the gas crises versus ethanol and biodiesel. In the end, it's all about economics, though . . . cost will be the major concern.
